This will save you time and money
The grandeur of this historical palace is unmatched, with fine gardens and attentive staff enhancing the experience. While the lack of balcony in our cozy room and slight inconsistency in service were notable, the beautiful ambiance and clean accommodations were nice. Be ready to enjoy every bit of luxury this hotel offers!

Probably the best hotel you can go to in Lisbon. It's a five star hotel, they take care of every detail and place is beautiful. It is worth staying in this building as it has a lot of history and charm. rooms, are within the same garden area but separated from the palace (2 minutes walk within the enclosure), are modern and renovated but retain their classic and imperial style. enclosure itself is a marvel. Garden areas for walking, impeccable and very beautiful outdoor pool and indoor facilities consisting of Spa, Turkish bath, sauna and heated indoor pool. All of them included in the price. It is worth the breakfast because the rooms of the palace are spectacular.
We had some bad luck since we coincided with a wedding and some services such as breakfast were slow and somewhat scarce, but it is something conjunctural and otherwise everything was perfect. Very good service and then we were compensated with late check-out.

The hotel is definitely terrific! The whole architecture, style, environment is amazing with its luxury. The staff is extremely polite and always ready to help, if necessary. I traveled with a colleague, it so happened that the conference was held in the same hotel. Everything is planned and done sensibly for conferences here as well. Not far from the conference hall there was a spa area - swimming pool, saunas, Jacuzzi. A place for maximum relaxation. Breakfast is not bad, but not the most chic, 5 stars is better. In general, a solid 5! All toiletries are available in sufficient quantity, bathrobes as they should be, but a toothbrush with toothpaste was available on request.
Perhaps the only downside for those looking for a fuss will be the location of the hotel. But that's for amateurs only. If you need silence and complete isolation, this hotel meets all the requirements. If you are looking for the hustle, bustle and bustle of the Portuguese, there is nothing to do. Despite this, you can easily get from the hotel by taxi for 10-15 euros to the center and eat once in three times cheaper than in the hotel restaurant. The food at the hotel is decent, but not chic. Only for this it is worth going to the center. Nearby there is no shop, which was also quite problematic, as a jar of water in the room or in the bar costs 5 euros, and in the shop 0.75 ... the difference is of course huge.

The blend of 19th-century elegance and modern comforts captivated me. The regal decoration throughout the hotel, especially in the dining areas and garden. The staff's attentiveness made everything accessible and enjoyable for seniors like myself.
More seating in common areas would be appreciated.
